Hey there! I’m Nat Peterson Lopes! I’m currently a student at Belmont University pursuing a degree in Emerging Media with a minor in Video Production, set to graduate with honors in December 2025.
I discovered my passion for media during an unexpected time—the COVID-19 pandemic quarantine. Using the alias ‘Nat Cyan,’ I began creating short, lighthearted, and, if I may, mildly comedic videos about makeup, my favorite pieces of media, and cosplay. Little did 16-year-old me know how many doors those videos would open.
Since then, I’ve had the pleasure of interviewing YouTube comedian Thomas Sanders and voice actor Eric Cuevas, among many others. During my two years as a media student, I’ve collaborated with TEDx Nashville, produced and directed my first published music video in partnership with nonprofit Daybreak Arts, and contributed to podcasts including The Future of What, The Hope People, and re:Purpose.
My goal is to use storytelling to amplify marginalized voices. As a queer, non-binary person and child of an immigrant, highlighting underrepresented perspectives drives everything I do.
